SORANO HOTEL “WELL-GROOMED” starting on 7/1
In commemoration of the SORANO HOTEL’s 6th anniversary, we introduce WELL-GROOMED, our new, unique grooming standards starting on July 1 (Wednesday), 2026. These standards emphasize cleanliness, reliability, health, and refinement in the appearance and demeanor of our staff, all while maintaining the essence of the SORANO experience. During the test period throughout June 2026, we will verify how the standards can best promote “Well-being” for our guests and staff, and make adjustments towards full implementation after the official launch.
This initiative, implemented amidst a growing movement in the service industry to re-examine stereotypes regarding hair color, shoes, and gender, is not merely a rule change. It is a proposal for the future of the service industry, respecting the rich traditions of hotel culture while drawing on our unique awareness of the property not seeming like Tokyo but in fact being in Tokyo. Based on the principles of cleanliness, reliability, and dignity of the hotel, and in line with diversifying values, we update our policies regarding hair color, hairstyle, fingernails, shoes, and glasses not simply to allow for freedom, but to value individual charm and service quality.
Going forward, we will continue to value your feedback and, with the utmost importance on ensuring our guests have a safe and comfortable stay, we will cultivate a new hotel culture in which the individuality and charm of each staff member become part of the SORANO HOTEL’s unique approach to “Well-being”.
