Notice of Temporary Closure of the Entire Hotel due to COVID-19 Infection of Hotel Staff (Aug30 - Sep1)
It was determined that two outsourced housekeeping staff servicing our guest rooms were infected with the new coronavirus, one confirmed on August 28, 2021 and one on 29, the following day. The route of transmission is unknown. We inform you that our entire hotel will be closed for three days from August 30 to September 1 in order to carry out thorough disinfection of the entire building. Along with our notice on August 18 of infection of one restaurant service staff, we apologize for the inconvenience and kindly ask for your patience and understanding.
After the infection of our restaurant staff mentioned above, all service department staff were tested for antigens and confirmed to be negative. However, the housekeeping staff in question were tested by the outsourced company, and positive results were revealed through the contractor’s system. The staff confirmed positive on 28 came to work until August 25, and the staff confirmed positive on 29 came to work until August 28.
To that effect, we have started contacting our hotel guests who visited us dating back two weeks from the first instance from August 11 to 29, for whom we know contact information. If you were at our hotel during that period and have any symptoms such as fever or fatigue, please consult the health center in your jurisdiction.
During the closure, we will thoroughly disinfect the building and carry out PCR tests for all staff. We have continued to take thorough infection control measures so that you can feel safe and assured on your next visit. However, we are informing guests visiting from our reopening on September 2 about our current situation, which we hope will help in your judgment for cancellations or other actions. (We will reopen at 3 p.m. on September 2,)
